ALS Nub Mod

$26.99

As of February 2024:
Some new Safariland holsters now have a redesigned thumb lever that will not fit the original version of the ALS Nub Mod. The ALS Nub Mod should still fit any holsters that were purchased, or manufactured before February of 2024. You can select 2024 generation in the drop down below if your hoslter was made post 2024, and the ALS looks like the photos shown on our page addressing this issue.

Made of aluminum with mil-spec anodizing in the U.S.A.

The Nub Mod is a simple upgrade that increases reliability and speed when drawing your handgun from your Safariland ALS holster. The nub mod does so by increasing the surface area that your thumb comes in contact with on the Safariland ALS holster release lever. Having the nub mod prevents one from missing or not fully engaging the locking mechanism of the ALS holsters which would typically lead to a bad or delayed draw. We chose to use the Nub Mod because it helps prevent said failures when drawing your handgun under stressful situations. The increased surface area also assists with weak hand drawing so be it training or a real-world scenario you can draw your handgun in confidence.

Simple Install: Press the larger nub piece over the factory button from the inside of the holster.  Align the smaller narrow piece with the top of the larger one. Insert the screw and tighten it with the supplied Allen wrench.

Great product! I added it to my Safariland 6000 series RDS holster for my Staccato C2 and Springfield Prodigy 4.25. Well made, tight tolerances and even come with a supplied Allen wrench for installation. It definitely increased the speed when drawing the weapon and added more purchase for my thumb to attack. The only draw back I had with the nub is it slightly rocks back and forward. Not enough to mess with the draw, and in most all cases you won’t even feel it. I tightened up a good bit when I added the provided foam insert and added Loctite to the screw. Even with that con, I’m still going to purchase another one for my Glock RDS holster, sooner than later!
