One thing members of the team are asked weekly is “What do you guys carry for EDC?”. A person’s Everyday Carry items are specific to what someone needs to accomplish a task throughout the day. We took the time to sit down with a few members of our team to take a look at what they carry day in and day out to not only protect themselves but just to live their lives.
Continuing our series on Everyday Carry we sat down with Jared to go over his gear
THE GUN:
Jared’s summer carry gun is a Sig Sauer P365 with a Holosun 507K, Parker Mountain Machine Barrel, and Compensator, for a flashlight he has a Streamlight TLR7 Sub, and some God Plaid Howie’s Hockey Tape. The gun is carried in a Tenicor Sagax Lux2 with a spare mag carried in a Tenicor ABDO Mag Pouch.
In the Wintertime, bulkier clothes allow for better concealment of larger firearms. Given the additional space, Jared opts for a Gen 5 Glock 19 with a Trijicon SRO, Parker Mountain Machine Barrel and Compensator, ESD Magwell, and a Streamlight TLR7A.
Lastly, for going to the gym or a quick trip to the mailbox Jared has an S&W J-Frame in a .22 Magnum. While not the best gun to carry every day it fills specific roles in his needs for protection which is better than being unarmed.
THE MAG CARRIER:
Normally Jared was carrying his spare mag for his P365 and/or G19 in a quality leather Magazine carrier he got from a trip to The Great American Outdoor Show. He likes this carrier because it fits both magazine types, and the clip allows for angle adjustment on the fly. However, He has recently switched to the Tenicor ABDO AIWB magazine pouch.
THE BELT:
Jared sports the Tenicor ZERO Belt. It is built from the ground up to provide rigidity for consistent carry and flexibility for comfort. The ZERO has a very low profile and an unencumbered buckle design allowing for use in all types of garments from shorts to combat pants.
THE KNIFE:
As a daily task knife, Jared carries a limited edition Emerson knife he got as a gift from a friend. On the sharper end of the stick, however, he employs a BanTang/Shivworks Clinch Pick with a cordage-wrapped handle for better grip.
