Hockey tape has been used since the 1960s to increase the performance of some of the best athletes in the world. They use it because it’s customizable, provides consistent and quality grip, and when the product gets wet the grip gets better. We realized that these benefits can be applied in more areas than just hockey.
Hockey tape is the best gun grip tape as it provides a great way to get a rock-solid grip on your firearm. When your hands are slick with water, sweat, blood, or tears, the tape will become stickier and provide better control of your firearm, especially under stressful conditions. Another benefit is that it will adhere to wood, polymer, aluminum, or steel and create an insulating barrier from metals in extremely cold environments. Hockey tape is also a good alternative for stippling polymer, as it is a way to add grip and form fit your firearm to your hands without adding any permanent modifications and is easily replaceable when it wears out. For those who can’t stipple pistol grips or modify issued rifles or handguns, Howies Hockey tape is a non-damaging method that can easily be removed and will provide you with a better grip. As a bonus, when it becomes worn and weathered, it just looks plain cool.
We primarily use it on our firearms as pistol grip tape, but it is also useful for providing traction to anything else you might be holding with slick hands, Trekking poles, fuel cans, axes, hammers, etc. The possibilities are endless!
We have and will continue to only sell products that we use ourselves and have a proven track record as actually effective. No gimmicks, no fake science, just consistent, proven, reliable, and quality products. Howies Hockey tape was our choice of tape as Edgar has used it for years in his hockey career. Howies Hockey tape is made in the USA and is a proven high-quality tape used by professionals worldwide. Stop looking for gun grip tape elsewhere and use tried and true hockey tape.

Great hockey tape. I’m gonna use it for everything non-hockey related. It’s already held up better than most tapes I’ve used in these applications.

Never thought id be a tape guy, but I ditched my other stick on grip(not going to mention brand) for my favorite pattern. This stuff rules and you get a ton too!

Played hockey for 16 years. Used a lot of tape in my day. This stuff holds up really well, especially for being on my AR handguard. Use on all my kit now, great company.

Review part Deux! I bought this tape along with the Pro Grip tape (click on that product to make fun of me or something) and wow. Great grip for pennies on the dollar compared to stippling. Also…PRO TIP INBOUND:
If you guys have OCD like me, and don’t like the odd fitment with stocks (mass produced plastic) you can actually take a small strip of the hockey tape and put it on the buffer tube. Gets rid of the rattle and tightens up the stock to tube fitment. “al;sdkjfa;s wHaT iF It gEtS baLLeD uP iN tHE sTocK?!?!1” It’s tape. Just take the stock back off and don’t do it then. I’m not your Dad or your supervisor. I’m just telling you about a neat thing I did with a product, you anxiety ridden nerd.
